Frequently asked questions

How does the reaction time test work?
Click to begin, then wait — the panel stays red for a random amount of time so you can't anticipate it. The instant it turns green, click as fast as you can. The time between the green appearing and your click is your reaction time, measured in milliseconds with the browser's high-resolution clock.
What is a good reaction time?
For a simple visual click test, most people land between 200 and 300 milliseconds. Around 250 ms is typical, under 200 ms is very fast, and anything under 180 ms is exceptional. Reaction time varies with sleep, caffeine, screen refresh rate, and how warmed up you are, so take a few tries and look at your average.
Why did it say “Too soon”?
That's a false start — you clicked while the panel was still red, before the green signal appeared. It doesn't count as a reaction time; just click again to retry. The random wait exists precisely to stop you from timing the click in advance.
What's the aim trainer mode?
Aim mode spawns a target somewhere in the play area; click it and the next one appears immediately. You have 15 seconds to hit as many as possible. Your score combines how many targets you hit per minute with your accuracy, so wild clicking that racks up misses won't help.
Is my data tracked?
No. Everything runs in your browser and only your best reaction time is saved locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded or shared, and it's free with no sign-up.
