- Is my resume data uploaded anywhere?
- No. Everything you type, including resumes you save with "My resumes," stays in this browser's local storage. There's no account, no server, and no sync — nothing is ever uploaded.
- Can I add my own sections and reorder them?
- Yes. Add the common sections (experience, education, skills, projects, certifications, and more) in one click, or create fully custom sections in the shape you need — dated timeline entries, a bulleted list, tag chips, or a text block. Drag any section, entry, or bullet to reorder it, rename sections freely, and hide a section without deleting it.
- How do I download my resume as a PDF, and is it ATS-friendly?
- Click Download PDF and choose "Save as PDF" in your browser's print dialog. The result is a real, selectable-text PDF — not a screenshot — so applicant tracking systems can read it, and the text order follows a logical top-to-bottom reading order even in the Creative template's sidebar. Tip: turn on "Background graphics" to keep template colors and turn off "Headers and footers" for a clean page.
- Can I move my resume to another browser or device?
- Yes. Use Data → Export to download your resume as a small .json file, then Data → Import on any device to restore it exactly — including your photo, custom sections, and order. It's also a handy backup, since resumes otherwise live only in this browser.
- Can I add a profile photo?
- Yes, optionally. Add a photo in the Header & contact section and it appears on templates that support it (the Creative template features it in the sidebar). It's off by default, and note that photos aren't recommended for ATS-screened applications in some countries.
- Can I save more than one resume?
- Yes. Use "My resumes" to save up to 20 named versions in this browser, so you can tailor a copy for each job application.
- Can I change the template after I've entered my information?
- Yes. Switching templates, accent colors, fonts, or page size (Letter or A4) in the Design tab updates the live preview instantly and doesn't touch any of your entered content.
- Is the resume builder really free?
- Yes, completely — no account, no credit card, no trial that expires, and no pro tier holding features back. Your PDF saves clean and unwatermarked — the exact step where most resume builders ask for a card. Hosting is paid for by a single unobtrusive ad slot and nothing else.
- Is there anything to install or register for?
- No. It's a plain web page: no account, no extension, no desktop app, no email capture. Fill in your details, pick a template, and save your PDF.
