How do I use the spinning wheel?

Type your options into the box on the left, one per line, and they appear as coloured slices. Press Spin, or focus the wheel and press Space or Enter. The winner is announced and shown on a card. You can spin again, remove the winner, or turn on “Remove each winner” for an elimination draw.

Can I make some options more likely than others?

Yes. Add “*” and a number after an option, for example “Pizza *3”, to make it three times as likely, with a slice three times as wide. “Pizza:3” works too, and “*0” switches an entry off without deleting it. Weights go up to 1,000,000. The Entries and odds table under the wheel shows every entry's weight and its chance of winning one spin.

Is the wheel actually random?

Yes. Each winner is chosen with your browser's cryptographically secure random generator (crypto.getRandomValues), weighted by slice size, and then the wheel animates to land on it. The result is decided before the animation starts, so the spin only shows you where it landed.

Are my entries saved?

Your list, your picks and your options are saved in your browser's local storage so they are still there when you come back. They never leave your device. A shared link carries the list in the address after the #, which is not sent to any server.

How do I send someone my wheel?

Press Share link. It copies a web address that holds your list, the weights, the colours and the remove-winners option. Whoever opens it sees that wheel, and their own saved wheel is left alone until they edit the list or press Keep this wheel. Very long lists do not fit in a link, and you are told when that happens.

Can I import names from a spreadsheet or a file?

Yes. Press Import, paste a column of cells, or choose a .txt or .csv file of up to 1 MB. The first column becomes the names, and a number in the second column becomes the weight. A name that already ends in “*number” or “:number”, such as “Room: 5”, is read as a weight too, and the preview counts those. You can skip a heading row and remove repeats, and Undo brings back the previous list.

Can I pick more than one winner?

Yes. Use Draw several to pull any number of different entries in one go, each weighted by its chance. With Remove each winner on, the drawn entries leave the wheel. The picks list keeps the order they were drawn in, and you can copy it or download it as a CSV file.

What can I use it for?

Picking who goes first, choosing where to eat, drawing a raffle winner, calling on students at random, choosing teams or a chore. For a quick answer there are ready-made wheels for yes or no, picking a number, teams, truth or dare, and what to eat.
