Extract URLs and links from text

Free, no sign-up, nothing uploaded. Paste an email, a document or a page's source and get a list of the web addresses in it.

Live result

The answer updates as you type, with line and character counts before and after.

Chain and undo

Use the result as the next input, step back up to 20 changes, copy, download or share a link.

Careful with text

Windows, Mac and Linux line endings are read (opened files keep theirs), and emoji and accents stay whole.

100% private

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a link?
Anything that starts with http://, https:// or www. and continues to the next space, quote or angle bracket. Punctuation that ends a sentence (a full stop, comma or closing bracket that was not opened inside the link) is left off.
Are links without http or www found?
No. A bare domain like example.com is not picked up, because it cannot be told apart from a file name or a sentence without its end space.
Can I remove duplicates?
Yes. Each link is listed once by default, and you can sort, or add the count of each. Links are compared exactly as written.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser; your text is never sent to a server and is not saved on this device. Only your option choices are remembered. (If you switch to another operation, your text is held in this tab's session storage for up to a minute so it can carry over, then discarded.) It is free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
