Extract numbers from text

Free, no sign-up, nothing uploaded. Pull the numbers out of a paragraph, a log or a price list, one per line, ready to copy into a spreadsheet.

Live result

The answer updates as you type, with line and character counts before and after.

Chain and undo

Use the result as the next input, step back up to 20 changes, copy, download or share a link.

Careful with text

Windows, Mac and Linux line endings are read (opened files keep theirs), and emoji and accents stay whole.

100% private

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.

Frequently asked questions

Which numbers are found?
Whole numbers, decimals like 3.14, negatives, exponents such as 1e6, and numbers with thousands commas such as 1,234,567.89. A dash inside a date or a code (2024-01-05) is not taken as a minus sign.
Why is 1,234 one number, not two?
A comma followed by exactly three digits is read as a thousands separator. A list written as 1,2,3 is read as three numbers. If your text uses commas as decimal marks, check the result.
Does it read other digit systems?
Only the digits 0 to 9. Arabic-Indic, Devanagari and other digit characters are not picked up.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser; your text is never sent to a server and is not saved on this device. Only your option choices are remembered. (If you switch to another operation, your text is held in this tab's session storage for up to a minute so it can carry over, then discarded.) It is free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
