Crop, trim and cut videos online

Free, no sign-up, no upload. Pick a shape like an Instagram Reel, a square post or YouTube, drag the box to choose what stays (or fit the whole video on a blurred background), trim the start and end, cut out the parts you don't want, and download an MP4. It all happens in your browser, so your video stays on your device.

Crop to any shape

Drag and resize the crop box on the video, zoom in, or fit the whole picture with a blurred, black, white or coloured background.

Ready-made sizes

Instagram Reels, Stories and posts, TikTok, YouTube and Shorts, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp Status and Pinterest, each at its recommended size.

Trim and cut

Set where the video starts and ends, take out any parts in the middle, and play the result before you export.

Private, no watermark

Nothing is uploaded and nothing is stamped on your video. It is made by your own browser.

Frequently asked questions

Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. The video is read, cropped and saved again by your own browser. It never leaves your device, there's no account, and nothing is added to the picture.
What size is an Instagram Reel?
Reels and Stories are vertical 9:16, and the recommended size is 1080 × 1920 pixels. Square posts are 1:1 (1080 × 1080), portrait posts 4:5 (1080 × 1350) and landscape posts 1.91:1 (1080 × 566). Pick the preset and the cropper sets the shape and size for you. Platforms change their advice from time to time, so check the app if a size looks wrong.
What's the difference between "Crop to fill" and "Fit whole video"?
Crop to fill keeps only the part inside the box, so the new shape is filled edge to edge; you choose which part with the box. Fit whole video keeps everything and fills the space around it with a blurred copy of the video, or black, white or a colour of your choice, which is handy when you don't want to lose anything from a wide shot in a vertical Reel.
How do I cut out a part in the middle?
Move the playhead to where the unwanted part starts and press "Cut out a part". It takes out two seconds from there; type the exact From and To times, or use the buttons, to change it. Add as many cuts as you need. Press Play result to watch the video with the cuts closed up before you export.
Which formats can I open and save?
Anything your browser can play: MP4 and WebM everywhere, MOV from iPhones in most browsers. The result is an MP4 (H.264 with AAC sound), or a WebM where the browser can't write MP4. Making the video needs a recent Chrome, Edge or Safari 17 or later; Firefox can open videos but may not be able to write them.
Will the quality drop?
Cropping means the picture has to be encoded again, so the file is never a byte-for-byte copy, but at High quality the difference is hard to see. Choosing a size bigger than the part you cropped enlarges the picture and can make it look soft; the page tells you when that happens. "Same as the video" keeps the cropped pixels as they are.
Is there a length or file size limit?
Files up to 2 GB can be opened. The finished video is built in your device's memory, so a long 4K export on a phone may fail; a smaller size or a shorter trim helps. A few minutes of 1080p is fine on most devices.
