Is my audio file uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is decoded and trimmed entirely in your browser — it never leaves your device, and you only get a file when you press download. There's no account and no upload.
Which formats can I open and export?
You can open MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, and FLAC (anything your browser can decode). You can export the trimmed clip as MP3 (small, 192 kbps) or WAV (lossless).
Can I make a ringtone?
Yes — use the 15s or 30s presets to size the clip, add a fade, and download the MP3. That works directly as a ringtone on Android; on iPhone you'd import the MP3 into GarageBand to set it, since iOS uses its own ringtone format.
Will trimming reduce the quality?
WAV export is lossless. MP3 export re-encodes the clip at 192 kbps, which is transparent for ringtones and everyday listening. The original file on your device is never modified.
Can I fade the clip in and out?
Yes. Toggle Fade in and Fade out — the fades are previewed when you play the selection and applied to the downloaded clip.
