HIIT & Tabata interval timer

Set your work time, rest time, and number of rounds — or load the classic Tabata (20 seconds on, 10 seconds off, 8 rounds) — and the timer runs the whole workout hands-free, with a short lead-in so you can get into position.

Each change gets its own cue: a high beep when work starts, a lower one for rest, and a finishing sound at the end, so you can keep your eyes off the screen. A big colour-coded countdown shows the current phase and which round you're on.

Interval Timer — frequently asked questions

What is a Tabata timer?
Tabata is a form of high-intensity interval training: 20 seconds of all-out work followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated 8 times for a four-minute round. Load the Tabata preset to run exactly that, or set your own work/rest/rounds.
Will it beep so I don't have to watch the screen?
Yes. There's a distinct sound at every transition — work, rest, and finish — so you can focus on the exercise rather than the clock. Audio starts when you press play, per browser rules.
Can I use it for boxing rounds or circuits?
Absolutely. Set the work time to your round length and the rest to the break between rounds; it works just as well for boxing, circuits, stretching, or any timed interval routine.
