A timeline lists periods and the events that happened in each. Every line has a period, a colon, then one or more events; extra events for the same period go on their own indented line starting with a colon.
Use section to group periods into named stretches such as quarters or eras. Timelines suit product histories, project roadmaps and release summaries.
