Frequently asked questions

What is the diet chart maker?
It lets you plan a full day of eating — breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks — by adding foods to each meal from a built-in database. It totals the calories, protein, carbs, fat and fibre for every meal and for the whole day, tracks them against a daily target, and lets you save the chart as a PDF.
Where does the nutrition data come from?
The same source as our Nutrition Checker: public-domain data from the USDA FoodData Central database (SR Legacy, released under CC0), rounded, per 100 g of edible portion. It covers common global foods plus everyday Indian items.
Can I set a daily calorie target?
Yes. Enter a daily calorie goal and the chart shows how much you have left (or how far over you are) as you add foods. If you're not sure what your target should be, work it out with our free TDEE & calorie calculator and type it in.
Can I download or print my diet chart?
Yes. “Save as PDF” opens a clean, printable version of your chart — every meal with its foods and a day total — which you can save as a PDF or print using your browser's print dialog. Nothing is uploaded to make the file; it's generated in your browser.
Is my diet chart saved?
Your chart is saved automatically to this browser's local storage, so it's still there when you come back. It never leaves your device — nothing is sent to a server, and there's no account.
Is the diet chart maker free?
Yes — no sign-up, no account, no watermark, nothing to pay. The only revenue here is one modest ad slot on the page.
Is this medical or dietary advice?
No. This tool gives general, informational calorie and macro estimates to help you plan, not personalised medical, nutritional or fitness advice. Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have a health condition.
