Frequently asked questions

What can this color tool do?
Pick a color and read it as HEX, RGB, HSL and OKLCH at once, copy any format, drag hue/saturation/lightness/alpha sliders, generate tints, shades and harmonies, check WCAG contrast, and pick a color straight from an image — all on one page.
Which color formats are supported?
HEX (including 4- and 8-digit alpha), RGB/RGBA, HSL/HSLA, OKLCH, and CSS color names like rebeccapurple. Paste any of them into the color field and the rest are computed instantly.
What is OKLCH and why include it?
OKLCH is a modern, perceptually-uniform color space — lightness, chroma and hue — where equal numeric changes look like equal visual changes. It's increasingly used in CSS for palettes that stay even and accessible, so the converter treats it as a first-class format.
Is anything uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser with JavaScript — colors and any image you pick from never leave your device. It's free with no sign-up; one unobtrusive ad slot covers hosting.
