Is my song uploaded anywhere?

No. The audio is decoded and processed entirely in your browser — it never leaves your device, and there's no account. You only get a file when you press download.

How does the vocal removal work?

By stereo phase cancellation. Lead vocals are usually mixed dead-centre, equal in the left and right channels, so subtracting one channel from the other cancels them while keeping the instruments panned to the sides. It's fast and completely private — but it is not AI stem separation, so results vary by track.

Why does it need a stereo file?

The technique relies on the difference between the left and right channels. A mono file has no difference to work with, so there's nothing to cancel — you'll need a stereo version of the track.

Can I get just the vocals (an acapella)?

The Isolate vocals mode gives a rough vocal-forward version by emphasising the centre of the mix. It's an approximation, not a clean acapella — true vocal isolation needs a much heavier AI model.

Which songs work best?

Tracks with the vocal centred and instruments spread across the stereo field remove cleanly. Mono mixes, heavy reverb on the vocal, or already-narrow stereo tend to leave more behind. Keep bass on to avoid a thin result.
