How does the virtual try-on work?

Press Start camera and allow it, or pick a photo. Your device finds the face and 478 points on it, works out how your head is turned and how far away it is, and draws 3D glasses, hats and other items in the right place. When you turn your head, they turn with it, and your head hides the parts that would be behind it, like the arms of the glasses.

What can I try on?

Six kinds of glasses (round, square, aviator, cat-eye, sunglasses and heart shades), five hats (cap, beanie, party hat, crown and top hat), cat ears, bunny ears, horns, a halo, a moustache and a clown nose, plus lipstick and blush. Most come in several colours, and you can make each item bigger or smaller and move it up or down to fit.

Is my camera picture uploaded?

No. The face tracking runs in your browser with a model downloaded from this site, and nothing about your face is sent anywhere. Photos are only made when you press Save photo or Share, and they stay on your device unless you share them. The camera turns off when you leave the tab.

Will the glasses look exactly like real ones?

They show the shape, colour and size on your face, which is what helps you choose a style. They aren't the product of any brand, and real frames vary in width, so check the measurements of the frames you buy.

Can two people try things on together?

Yes, up to two faces at once: each gets the same items, sized to their own face.

The items wobble or don't appear

Face the camera with light on your face, not behind you, and keep your whole face in the picture. Use Size and Up / down to fit an item more closely. On older phones the camera picture updates more slowly, which makes the items lag a little.
