Drop a 3D model here

GLB, glTF, OBJ, STL, PLY, FBX, 3MF, DAE or USDZ. It stays on your device.

Open a 3D model and see it in your room

Free, no sign-up, no app. Drop a GLB, glTF, OBJ, STL or other 3D file to turn it around, check its size and triangles, and save it as GLB or USDZ. On a phone, place it on your floor or table with augmented reality; on a headset, walk around it in VR. Everything happens in your browser, so the model never leaves your device.

Opens the common formats

GLB, glTF, OBJ, STL, PLY, FBX, 3MF, DAE and USDZ, with compressed glTF too.

View it in your room

AR on Android with Chrome and on iPhone or iPad through AR Quick Look.

Step into VR

On a Quest or other WebXR headset, stand next to the model at real size.

Real-world size

Width, height and depth in metric or imperial, with the file's unit you can correct.

What's inside

Triangles, vertices, materials, textures, bones and animations at a glance.

Convert to GLB and USDZ

Save any model in the formats the web, Android and iPhone use for AR.

Pictures

Studio lighting, backdrops and a turntable, then save a PNG of the view.

Nothing uploaded

Your model is opened, measured and converted on your own device.

Frequently asked questions

Which files can I open?
GLB and glTF (including Draco, Meshopt and KTX2 compressed ones), OBJ with its MTL and textures, STL, PLY (meshes and point clouds), FBX, 3MF, COLLADA (.dae) and USDZ. If a .gltf or .obj keeps its textures in separate files, select the model and those files together, or drop them all at once.
How does “View in your room” work?
On an Android phone with Chrome, the page starts an AR session: point the camera at the floor or a table, wait for the ring, and tap to place the model. Tap again to move it, and use Turn to rotate it. On an iPhone or iPad, the model is turned into a USDZ file on your device and opened in Apple's AR Quick Look, where you can place it, walk around it and take photos. On a laptop the button doesn't appear, because AR needs a phone's camera and motion sensors.
Is the model shown at its real size?
Yes, when the file's units are right. glTF and USDZ are in metres by definition, and STL and 3MF are almost always millimetres. OBJ, FBX and PLY have no fixed unit, so the viewer guesses from the size and you can correct it under “One unit in the file is”. A model smaller than 2 cm or bigger than 20 m is shown at a fitted 50 cm instead, and in AR you can switch between real size and fitted.
Can I use it with a VR headset?
Yes. Open this page in the Meta Quest browser (or another WebXR browser on a headset) and press View in VR to stand next to the model at its real size. The same page also offers AR on Quest 3, with the model placed in your room through passthrough.
Is my model uploaded?
No. The file is read and drawn by your browser, and the conversions to GLB and USDZ happen on your device too. If a model points at textures on a website, those aren't fetched: they are listed as missing instead, so opening a model never contacts another server. The 3D engine and its decoders are downloaded from this site the first time you open a model.
What can I check about a model?
Its real-world size, triangle and vertex counts, meshes, materials, textures with their resolutions and an estimate of the memory they take, bones, morph targets and animations. A short note says whether the model is light enough for phones, which matters for AR and for websites.
Can I convert a model?
Yes: any model you can open can be saved as GLB (glTF binary, the format the web and Android use) or USDZ (the format iPhone and iPad use for AR), upright and in metres. You can also save a PNG picture of the current view, with a transparent background if you pick None.
