How do I add URLs to the sitemap?

Paste a list of URLs (one per line) into the bulk-add box and click "Add URLs", or add them one at a time with "Add URL". Every URL gets its own row where you can set its change frequency, priority, last modified date, and whether it's included.

What are changefreq, priority, and lastmod?

They're optional fields from the sitemap protocol: changefreq is a hint for how often a page changes (daily, weekly, ...), priority (0.0–1.0) hints at a page's relative importance on your site, and lastmod records when it was last modified. Search engines treat all three as hints, not instructions.

Can I set the same values for many URLs at once?

Yes. Set change frequency, priority, and last modified date once in the "Default values" panel — they're applied automatically to every new URL you add, and "Apply these defaults to all URLs" overwrites the existing list in one click.

What happens with invalid or duplicate URLs?

Every row is checked live. A URL that isn't a valid absolute http(s) address is flagged as invalid, and an exact repeat of an earlier URL is flagged as a duplicate — both are highlighted in the list and automatically skipped when the XML is generated, so the output is always a valid sitemap.

Can I exclude a URL without deleting it?

Yes — uncheck the box on its row. It stays in your list for later but is left out of the generated sitemap until you check it again.

Formatted or minified — which should I use?

Formatted (indented, one field per line) is easier to review by eye; minified strips all non-essential whitespace for a smaller file. Search engines accept either — pick formatted while you're editing and minified for the file you actually deploy, if size matters.

Is anything uploaded to a server?

No. Every URL you enter, and the sitemap generated from it, stays in your browser — nothing is uploaded or stored. It's free with no sign-up; a single unobtrusive ad slot covers hosting.
