Frequently asked questions

How do I play with my face?
Press Play with my face and allow the camera. Look straight at the screen for a moment while the game measures your face, then run: turn your head left or right and back to move one lane (you can look straight while you run), open your mouth to jump over hurdles, and nod down to duck under bars. Red walls can only be dodged by changing lanes. Coins are worth 10 points, and the runner speeds up the further you go.
Can I play without a camera?
Yes. Choose Keys or swipes: the arrow keys (or A and D) change lanes, Up or Space jumps and Down ducks. On a phone, swipe left or right to change lanes, swipe up or tap to jump, and swipe down to duck. Keys also work during a face game if you need a hand.
What is today's course?
Everyone who picks Today's course runs the same course that day, so you can compare scores with friends. A new course starts at midnight, your local time. Endless gives you a different course every run.
How do I record a clip?
Tick Record a clip of each camera run. Each run is then recorded with the game, your face in the corner bubble and the sounds, and when it ends you can share or save it. Clips are made on your device and stay there until you share them; there is no watermark.
Is my camera picture uploaded?
No. The face tracking runs in your browser with a model downloaded from this site, and nothing about your face is sent anywhere. The camera turns off when you leave the tab. Only your settings and best scores are remembered, in this browser.
The game doesn't react to my head, or reacts too much
Use Face sensitivity: Big moves if it changes lanes when you don't mean it to, Small moves if you have to turn a lot. Measure my face again if you moved your camera or changed position. Light on your face (not behind you) makes tracking steadier.
