How does the document scanner work?
Scan with the live camera (it finds the page and can take the shot when you hold still), take a photo, or choose images. The page's edges are found automatically; adjust any corner if needed. The tool flattens the angled photo into a straight-on scan, removes shadows, and lets you pick a look: colour, grayscale, black & white or the original photo. Reorder, turn or re-edit pages, then export one PDF. It all happens in your browser.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The whole pipeline — perspective correction, the scan enhancement, and building the PDF — runs on your device. Your documents never leave your phone or computer, there's no server, and there's no account. That's the point: a private alternative to apps that upload your scans.
Does it detect the page edges automatically?
Yes. The page is found on your device, with nothing extra to download, and its four corners are placed for you. You can still drag any corner (or move it with the arrow keys) when the page is on a busy or similar-coloured surface.
What can I export?
One PDF of all your pages on A4 or Letter (portrait, landscape or matching each page, with an optional margin) or sized to each scan, at 150, 200 or 300 dpi with the file size shown. Tick Searchable text to make the PDF searchable (the text is read on your device), copy the text, or open the PDF in the PDF tools to sign, compress, merge or number it. Any page can also be saved as an image. Pages stay on your device if you reload.
How do I get the cleanest scan?
Lay the document flat on a contrasting surface, light it evenly to avoid shadows, and fill most of the frame with the page shot as square-on as you can. For text-heavy pages the black & white mode gives the crispest, smallest result: it's saved as a true black-and-white image, a few tens of KB a page.
